THOMAS ARGUE
Chief Executive Officer/Administrator

Tom Argue earned his undergraduate degree in Health Administration & Planning from the University of New Hampshire, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. He has served as Chairman of the New Hampshire Health Care Association, as Chairman of the New Hampshire Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators, and as Chairman of LeadingAge Maine & New Hampshire. He has also chaired the National Board of Long-Term Care Administrators Examination Committee and has served as an Officer of the National Board of Long-Term Care Administrators. He was hired prior to Webster at Rye’s opening in 1986 and, as Administrator and Chief Executive Officer, has overseen its growth and development, including expanding the continuum of care from Long-Term Care and Independent Living to include Skilled Rehabilitation, Assisted Living and Memory Care. Tom served as the Administrator for the Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth, New Hampshire for five years prior to joining Webster at Rye. He is a private pilot and also enjoys fishing, hiking, photography and golf.


TODD FERNALD
Human Resources Director/Assisted Living Administrator

Todd began working at Webster at Rye when he was just 17 years old for what he thought was only a summer job and now, over 30 years later, he finds himself second in command of the organization. Todd has worked in numerous positions throughout his tenure, including dietary aide, relief cook, social services assistant, activities, receptionist, office assistant and executive assistant. Todd was promoted to the position of Human Resources Director in 2005 and added the role of Administrator of the Assisted Living and Memory Care Community in 2017. A 1993 graduate of Gordon College with a BA in Psychology, Todd has additionally achieved recognized double national certification in Human Resources including designation as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Human Resources Certification Institution and as a Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resource Management. He is an active member of the Seacoast Human Resources Association serving on the Professional Development Committee.  Additionally, Todd holds state licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator in New Hampshire and has served as the Assistant Administrator for the Long-Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility since 2018. When not at his desk, Todd can be found actively pursuing his other passion – a love for the theater – performing on numerous stages throughout New England with credits including stage, radio and television. He has received numerous award nominations for his theatrical work.


PATRICIA ROGER
Director of Nursing Services

Patti Roger, RN, became the Director of Nursing Services at Webster at Rye in November 2001 and has successfully overseen the growth and evolution of the Long-Term Care and Skilled Rehabilitation units ever since. Patti graduated with an associate’s degree in science from Northern Essex Community College as well as completing Advanced Health Assessment Classes at Salem State University. She has dedicated her employment to the nonprofit sector of healthcare and was previously employed with Mary Immaculate Health Care Services. Patti was an integral part of Webster at Rye’s transition from Long-Term Care to becoming a Medicare-certified Skilled Nursing Facility. She continues to be extremely dedicated and passionate about her leadership role in directing Webster at Rye’s Nursing Department and strives to make sure that she and her staff are fully abreast of the ongoing regulatory changes and demands of this industry to ensure that we continue to provide the highest level of care to our residents. Despite the challenges that might present themselves, Patti continues to embrace each day knowing that she has made a difference in the lives of the residents and remains very “hands on” and actively involved in the direct care of residents to ensure they achieve the best outcome possible.


JENNIFER AUDIA
Director of Assisted Living

Jennifer Audia, RN, joined the Webster at Rye team in January 2017 as a Unit Manager and was promoted to the Director of Nursing for Assisted Living in June 2017. She graduated from the nursing program at Great Bay Community College in 2011 and is currently working towards completing her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Walden University, studying leadership and management. Having worked in acute care hospitals, memory care, home care, long term care and now assisted living, she has developed a passion for caring for the elderly.  Her motivation for working in assisted living is to provide an enriched environment providing dignified and respectful care to Webster at Rye’s community of Residents.


MELISSA BIRD
Social Services Director

After graduating from Wheaton College, Melissa Bird accepted an entry-level position in the Genetics Department at Massachusetts General Hospital. From there, she moved into the Social Work Department where she discovered that she loved the interplay of medicine and social work. In 1986, she relocated to New Hampshire where she worked for Region 10 as a case manager, but soon found that she missed medical social work. She accepted a position at Seacoast Health Center, now known as Oceanside, where she was the sole social worker for a 120-bed unit. Here, she learned about the daily operations of a long-term care facility and developed skills to work with the elderly and their families. In 1991, she became the Social Services Director at Webster at Rye. During her tenure, she has developed the Hospice program, created and maintained relationships with hospital case managers, learned applicable Medicare/Medicaid rules and regulations, and continues to coordinate admissions. Melissa is most proud to say that she is now admitting the “second generation” of residents.


DANIEL HARTMAN
Director of Dietary Services

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Daniel Hartman has lived in nine different states, most recently calling New Hampshire his home for the past 16 years. Throughout his travels, he has worked with and learned from chefs across the country and has had the honor of working with chefs that have been featured In Bon Appetite and Wine Spectator magazines. He has also had the privilege of paring wines and presenting foods for Rodney Strong, winemaker. Dan graduated from New Mexico State University with a BS in Marketing. He has over 30 years of experience in the food industry ranging from fine dining, running country clubs, and for the last 12 years, has had the privilege to work in healthcare dining. His focus is on creating healthy and delicious diets for residents, families and staff. He is also very focused on safety protocols and building a strong and viable dining team. Over the years, he has been honored with many awards for customer service including a 2014 Serving Heart Award for Excellence in Residence Service, a 2008 and 2009 Award for Excellence in Customer Service and a 2002 Good Citizen Award for Corporate Outreach. His focus continues to be providing delicious and nutritious meals and to enhance each resident’s quality of life. His hobbies include golf, skiing and coaching youth sports. He is the father of two lovely girls and has been married to his wonderful wife for 22 years.


ANGEL BLAIS
Business Office Manager

Angel Blais started her career as a part-time office assistant in a long-term care facility in 2005.  Recognizing her abilities and talents, she was quickly promoted to the position of Office Manager within her first year of employment. She has an extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurances, and assisting families with their financial needs, including Medicaid applications. This is one of Angel’s greatest strengths and is why she was selected to become Webster at Rye’s Business Office Manager in 2014. Angel is happy to call Webster at Rye home and continues to thoroughly enjoy working with the residents and their families, helping out wherever and whenever she can.


KAREN JOHNSON
Marketing & Development Coordinator

After volunteering weekly for three years in a local nursing home, Karen became certified as a music practitioner and offered therapeutic music (as well as certified therapy greyhounds) in dozens of nursing homes in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Maine. One of the nursing homes she visited often was Webster at Rye and Karen, based on her experiences with the facility, knew this is where she wanted to be. She officially joined Webster at Rye in 2009 as an Activity Assistant working with Independent Living residents before serving as the Marketing and Development Coordinator. Karen attended both Plymouth State College and the University of New Hampshire, majoring in Biological Sciences. She brings a wealth of experience working with the public during an18-year career in law enforcement where she was certified in both New Hampshire and Maine.


CORINNE TOWNSEND
Activities Director

Corinne Townsend joined Webster At Rye in November of 2015. Having degrees in both early childhood education and business administration, she brings 15 years of experience in healthcare, 11 of which was as the Director of an Activity Department. Corinne strongly believes in the use of input via various resident-run committees to ensure her activities are tailored to each individual resident. Corinne also values the idea of involving the community at large in certain events, which brings a sense of joy and pride to the residents of Webster At Rye. With the help of the residents and others, Corinne plans many community and family involved events such as Art in Bloom or the annual holiday craft fair. She plans many events that allow residents to celebrate holidays with their families, which enriches the lives of the residents at Webster at Rye.


CHARLES MORRILL
Maintenance Supervisor

A Portsmouth, New Hampshire native, certified “jack of all trades,” Charlie Morrill has spent his career operating one piece of equipment or another! With an expansive working knowledge in all aspects of Maintenance (including carpentry, electrical and plumbing to name just a few), Charlie spent 12 years as the Labor Foreman at Maxam Company before working as Vice President of his father’s construction company, Richard I. Morrill & Sons, Inc. Charlie joined Webster at Rye as a Maintenance Technician in 1997 and was promoted to Maintenance Supervisor in 2000. Whether employed with other construction companies or at Webster at Rye itself, Charlie holds the unique distinction of being the only person to be involved in all aspects of the construction and subsequent expansions of the facility. Charlie now resides in Raymond, New Hampshire with his wife. In his free time enjoys skiing, golfing, swimming and spending time with his grandchildren.


MAURICE DESROCHERS
Director of Environmental Services

Moe Desrochers began his career working in a family-owned hardware store before venturing out to run his own businesses, including a restaurant and painting and cleaning service. Moe eventually found his way to the healthcare industry and was the manager of Maintenance and Housekeeping Services at the Sunbridge facility in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Initially hired at Webster at Rye as a Maintenance Tech in July 2005, Moe was promoted to Director of Environmental Services in August 2012. Because Moe understands that people take pride in the condition of their own home, he wants the residents to feel the exact same way about living at Webster at Rye; therefore, he goes above and beyond making sure every little detail is just perfect for our residents’ stay. In addition to his normal duties, Moe also serves as the Purchasing Agent for Webster at Rye and oversees all seasonal decorating for the facility. On the weekends, Moe can be found frequenting estate sales often finding just the perfect little addition to Webster at Rye.
