July 29 – To the Editor:

To the dear staff at Webster at Rye, what a privilege it has been for the past two and one half years to be able to experience such caring and medical competency in providing our dear wife and mother, Patti Piper, with a second home during her period of long term care.  From the first day that I walked in and was greeted by Melissa and Patti and escorted through the facility, it was quite clear to me and my family that this was going to make our Patti’s future journey something a great deal more pleasant.

From the administrative staff, the activities staff, the kitchen and food service folks, rehab and exceptional medical staff right down to all the crew that keeps the rooms, building and clothing so very clean, I thank you and applaud you for all your efforts.  I would love to mention each person who touched Patti’s life, but literally it was everyone on every shift on every day.  I also want to thank each and everyone of you that made me and my family feel so welcome no matter what day or time we stopped by to visit.

There is a reason why this incredible facility has not only received local awards but is going to be nationally recognized this fall… it’s called people who come to every shift and deeply care about the people who are in their charge.  Again to find this type of environment you need to have a compliment of staff who are dedicated to providing the support structure from top to bottom and most of all…loving what they do.

This is the essence of Webster at Rye and in this world it is quite unique.  Thank you all again…and please keep on, keeping on!

With all our love,

James Piper and the Piper Family
