Webster at Rye hosts 32nd lawn party

RYE – Approximately 325 residents, families, friends, volunteer and staff recently enjoyed a long-standing summer tradition at Webster at Rye. The 32nd annual lawn party, held under tents on the back lawn, featured lobsters, hamburgers, hot dogs, corn on the cob, strawberry shortcake and all the fixings. Music by the Bel Airs, a popular ’50s style quartet, added to the festivities.

Over a dozen raffle items all donated by local businesses helped raised funds that support numerous activities throughout the year for all Webster at Rye residents. New to this year’s lawn party was the Department Head Dunk Tank, which also raised proceeds for resident activities, and provided a lot of laughs. The first person to succeed in dunking a department head was a 95-year-old resident.
